This list of books was put together by a group of readers trying to determine the best novel ever. I read somewhere that the average person will have read about 30 out of the 100 books listed below. This list makes me feel like I’ve been reading the wrong types of books for the past few years. [Thanks Mom, for making me read a few of these when I was little!]Also, this list is missing a ton of great books. Not sure why they didn't make the cut.
I’ve put x-ed the ones I’ve read before.

In other news, I just finished Catcher in the Rye which is now one of my top five favorite books. Five? Okay, maybe ten. Holden Caulfield is one of my favorite fictional characters. I loved the relationship he had with his sister Phoebe.
Salinger Ol' buddy, you've done it again....

heeeey girl... i'm at 47. which makes me glad that my mom subscribed to the "classics of the month club" when she was younger and i was really into reading big leatherbacked books when i was a kid. and also that i'm a sucker for the end cap shelves at bookstores (lovely bones...?)
have so much fun with your sisters- that sounds like an awesome time!
