Home is Whenever I'm with you.

Guess what?
G's back from Chicago, ya'll!

Henry and I dropped him off at the airport last Wednesday and couldn't wait to go and pick him up today. Even with a new baby, it gets eerily quiet around here when my boy is gone. I also sleep much less because I'm so used to having him right next to me. While he was away, Hen and I settled into a pretty good routine but I am definitely excited for things to return to the way they were.

I'm really jealous that G got to go out with our old friends and visit places from our past. To make me feel better, he brought back presents for everyone. Presents always make people feel better, right? He found the cutest little Chicago onesie for Henry and Modest Mouse and Man Man records for me. We don't have any record shops here, so this was a pretty huge deal.

Henry spent the car ride home flirting with his dad and shooting him some of the biggest smiles I have seen all week. Although he is still too young to realize that G is gone, every time he comes back he can barely control his excited little self.

Time to go snuggle up in a bed that suddenly doesn't feel so big.

Yay for the hubs being back, and for presents!

On a totaly different note. I watched "An American Crime" today. ummm most devistating movie I have ever watched in my life! Anyways.. in the movie (if you haven't seen it..) Ellen page is in it, and she looks JUST LIKE YOU! So the entire movie, when all these horrible things were happening, I just sat bawling.. and then I'd think of you and cry harder! It was terrible! If you haven't seen it.. DON'T! I have never cried harder in my life..

Long story short, I now think you look like ellen page! Have you gotten that before? Both of you are so stinkin beautiful and wonderful! LOVE IT! (but not that movie.. that movie is sad!)

Oh, yes I so can relate to the bed-thing! Hate an empty bed and get nightmares without Ingo.
Very cute pic btw :-)

Hi! I looooove your blog. You and your family are absolutely adorable! I check it every day.

My family and I (we're from Chicago and have a 16-month old baby girl) are traveling to Hilton Head later this summer and plan to take a day trip to Savannah. Your blog makes it seem so cool! Any places we should visit? I'd love to check out some of these flee markets you've been to.

Ashley: You are so sweet, thank you so much! I'll pass on your compliment to Henry and make him blush :)

Joy: Not sure what type of player we have, I'll have to check it when we get home. I'll leave you some record collection faves on your site later tonight! I can't wait!

Brittany: Thank you! I can't wait to see your adorable little girlies!

Brittany: That movie sounds freaking CREEPY!! I saw Hard Candy with her and that one was pretty bizarre as well. I kind of want to see the one you are talking about just because you make it sound so intense. I have had one person tell me that I look like Ellen Page before!

Lydia: Thanks!

Paige: Um, sorry? :) It's not my fault that you are so caring and sweet all the time!

Iris: Yeah, I get all freaked out about spiders whenever G is out of bed. WEIRD. I know.

Christy: Do you have a blog? I'd love to read yours as well. You should e-mail me and I can give you a longer list of things you must see while you are here. The flea market is amazing as is Tybee Beach and the Riverside downtown. You are going to love it here, although it will probably be incredibly HOT still when you are :)

Jill: Thank you! Yeah, I'm glad I work during the day otherwise I'd probably go crazy being cooped up with the H man in the quiet house. I'm sure I'd get used to it eventually, but still!

I must be having a dumb day, because I can't, for the life of me, find your e-mail address on your blog.

I'd love to share my blog with you...if I had one. Boo, I know.

Let me know your e-mail addy and we can touch base about cool places to see in Savannah. Thanks so much!
