who loves the sun

Garrison is selling rainbarrels and composts downtown so it's just me and hen this morning. Bored with the same saturday routine and needing some fresh air we walked to the bakery and got a GIANT pecan/caramel cinnamon roll and a soy vanilla latte. I told G we'd save him some but whoops? Sorry! The weather is all ick today, so here are sunny pictures from sometime last week.

Doughnut Daze

A few days ago we picked up Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for the kids I nanny*. I think this was Henry's first doughnut and he seriously LOVED IT. Like, shoving as much of it in his mouth and gagging LOVED IT. He ate the whole thing and then I felt super guilty because I had just let my thirteen month old consume like a half pound of sugar and lard.

* not happening ever again. kids + doughnuts = disaster. seriously, they literally ripped the house apart running around screaming Dora songs like cracked out chipmunks.

The sun is super bright today and I feel good. Nostalgia like whoa and every second I'm revisiting good memories from the past...do days like this ever happen to you? I love them because my mind is rarely calm enough to think about the past anymore and I miss that.

These two songs are: bottles of Andre and fishing poles, abandoned houses with Huck, new kisses and Steinbeck books from Garrison, kittens born in my closest, clamming and BBQs, Garrison's band in my basement, vinyl shopping, and red house parties.

Guys? Spring is almost herrrreee.
