I think Bennett needs to give Henry a call and tell him whats up!

Melissa: Yes, I have to remind myself of this so much. It's hard to see the light at the end of such a long tunnel...

erinlucyloves: we're in the same boat! yay! i still remember the first night henry slept in his own room. i was so excited that we could walk around and talk and keep the bright light on until super late at night, even though i was sad that henry wasn't right next to my bed anymore. i hope it is going well for you, twelve hours of sleep? all right milo!

katherine: i'd love to be getting that much sleep! i can't wait until this all works itself out! and i'm glad to hear you switched the monitor off as well :)

lauren: i totally get how easy it would be to let it for so long. it's just easier on everyone to calm them the second they are upset. it's really to bad they become so dependent on that (but also awesome that we are such comfort to them!) i'm glad it all worked out for you!

jamie: lucky! is jude still sleeping with you guys? what's his sleeping schedule like?alliehallmarrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03080509329608296428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4156351442538003882.post-2863928920277050102010-08-05T13:56:35.426-05:002010-08-05T13:56:35.426-05:00so tough. luckily we haven't had to go there ...so tough. luckily we haven't had to go there yet. but YAY for progress, Henry!Jamiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07187151463075117941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4156351442538003882.post-18502125803927225742010-08-04T08:22:26.853-05:002010-08-04T08:22:26.853-05:00doing the CIO was seriously the best thing we ever...doing the CIO was seriously the best thing we ever could have done. for us and our son.

my little guy had his days and nights mixed up for his first full year of life. it was awful. i finally had a breakdown at about 15 months and could not take his bad sleeping habits any longer (after i had let it go for soooo long. ugh.) and after we let him cry it out for a few nights, he was sleeping like a champ. it only took about a week to get into a routine. but he was much older than your little henry, so it might be a bit different for you guys. but STICK TO IT!! good luck <3lauren ♥https://www.blogger.com/profile/15459134108144418076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4156351442538003882.post-29612998160551730772010-08-04T08:03:20.454-05:002010-08-04T08:03:20.454-05:00Thats great!

It took a while to be okay with letting him cry a little but so worth it. He only wakes in the night 1-2 times a week, not bad, right?
Hang in there, you're doing so good! :-)Mandy@ a sorta fairytalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08748261732968499309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4156351442538003882.post-38999150076841555902010-08-03T22:29:19.290-05:002010-08-03T22:29:19.290-05:00Yay! I just commented on giving Henry one feeding at night, so it's good to read that's someone elses method too. Two w...Joy: This is very encouraging news, thanks!! Two weeks seems like an eternity but at least it (hopefully) results in good sleep for everyone involved.

Jess: Wyatt!! No!! I'm sure this is just a fluke and Henry will be waking up all the time again tomorrow, if not tonight. It's a reassuring break though, for sure. I feel like the whole thing gets even trickier when you are breastfeeding. I'm already so worried that H isn't getting enough food that letting him CIO is even harder. I hear you should pick one (maybe more in your case?) feeding to eliminate and then stick with cutting that one out. Henry wakes at 10ish and then at 3-4 (he's been worse lately) and so I picked weaning him from the four am feeding. It's harder because that's when I really want to be sleeping but in the long run, it will be nice to not have to get up in the middle of the night. I usually don't let him go longer than 5 hours but if he cries anytime before that then I just let him cry. We can do this (I think...) :) Hang in there!alliehallmarrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03080509329608296428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4156351442538003882.post-49416628671875981692010-08-03T22:05:48.650-05:002010-08-03T22:05:48.650-05:00i always nursed once during the night..but other t...i always nursed once during the night..but other than that, the CIO method ALWAYS worked for me. i think you're doing a great job! you and jess seem to both be going through it at the same time..so hang in there!! it does and will get easier!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4156351442538003882.post-86805709665039518792010-08-03T21:50:30.564-05:002010-08-03T21:50:30.564-05:00oh my gosh allie, i am so elated for you! right no...oh my gosh allie, i am so elated for you! right now i'm sitting on the couch googling "FERBER METHOD" because i need reassurance. wyatt is still getting up every two hours at 10 months old and it's ridiculous. i'm going to hold strong with this CIO thing, but it's so hard for me to imagine wyatt sleeping longer than 2-3 hours straight. WE CAN DO THIS ALLIE. we will KUNG FU these boys into shape.

now i'm just scared on what to do with night time feedings. i'm starting to wonder if it's time to eliminate those too? but i don't know if i should because wyatt doesn't really nurse that much during the day. i don't want to starve my kid, ya know?Jess Craighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10312580946881470984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4156351442538003882.post-61831085560996181472010-08-03T21:46:14.570-05:002010-08-03T21:46:14.570-05:00YAYAYAYAY!!!
